The storage towers for textile fibres are used for different purposes in the textile industry and within the ambit of fibre blending and the preparation for spinning and carding.

They are used as warehouses for textile fibres on the carding machine loaders. In this way the carding machine becomes independent and the loading of the carding machine is automated.

These storage towers can be loaded using the direct or indirect pneumatic transport system for the fibres.

The storage towers can also be dosing warehouses, if fitted with vibrating sides.

Vertical roller warehouses or dosing warehouses with vibrating sides are also often used to load the fibre opening machines.

On the other hand, the autonomous vertical warehouses are used as interim storage systems between the various machines of an automatic fibre blending installation.

The textile fibre dosing warehouses use special weighing systems -
they allow one to measure and dose the textile fibre "being released" to the next machine.
